2009 Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart Version R (Z27A)
New to our inventory is the great little Ralliart Version R Colt, as seen in the pictures it’s in near perfect condition, this was a grade 4.5 that we handpicked out of Japan.
Since its arrival to NZ it has undergone the certification process by the AA which has had its safety and kilometres verified.
Together with that it’s undergone its full “NZ Service” by us at Drift Bros Automotive which has included fitting four brand new tyres, four new brake discs and pads, plus new oil and oil filter and air filter.
This car is what you would call a little pocket rocket with its 1.5 Turbo engine tuned by ralliart which is very economical.
We have also fitted a Bluetooth Kenwood stereo system with hands free calling.
Come and test drive this car soon you will be very impressed!
About the Colt: The Colt Ralliart Version R has been introduced to be a halo performance car for the range, the suspension is stiffened and lowered, the brakes are larger and the body’s torsional rigidity has been increased by 30 per cent compared with the standard Colt.
Equipment includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, stability and traction control and lap-sash seatbelts, Semi-climate control and power windows are highlights of the comfort equipment list.
The Ralliart certainly succeeds in attracting attention thanks to its rather outlandish bodykit. There are the bonnet vents for the intercooler, a mass of black plastic cladding that rings the body, a mesh grille, seven-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels, low-profile rubber, fog lights, high-mounted rear spoiler and a rear diffuser.
The Ralliart Colt is impressive in its handling capability. It sits very flat when cornering, a weird sensation considering the tall, narrow shape. The electrically assisted steering is quick and accurate. And there is more grip and less desire to understeer in tight corners than you would expect.
The engine is happy to work willingly from about 3000 rpm, where the turbo starts to kick in, all the way to its 6700 rpm cut-out. Combined with short gearing, it always seems to have more pep and zip than expected. Acceleration is aided by an 1130 kg kerb weight.
